Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Sift account and its data at any time, either in the Sift app or here on the web. You don’t need the app installed to do it.

How to delete your account

  1. Sign in to Sift, in the app or on the web at sift.totale.me.
  2. Open Account.
  3. Choose Delete Account and confirm.

Your Totale Me account is disabled immediately. Your account and data in Sift and Parcel will be permanently deleted in 7–14 days. To cancel, email support@totale.me within 7 days. Support will confirm completion by email where a contact address is available. If you can’t sign in, email support@totale.me from the address on your account and I’ll schedule deletion for you. If you used Sift without signing in with Google or Apple, your account has no email. Link Google or Apple before requesting deletion if you need account recovery or an email confirmation.

What is deleted

Deletion removes your account and data from all Totale Me apps, including Parcel reading progress. For Sift, this includes:

  • your account information: email address, name, and sign-in identifier;
  • your preferences: your sections and the YouTube channels and podcasts you follow;
  • anything you saved to your library and notes you posted;
  • your notification push tokens (mobile app); and
  • any editions you’ve shared.

If you signed in with Apple, the iOS app attempts to revoke access to your Apple ID when you request deletion. You can revoke it yourself anytime in your Apple ID settings.

What is kept

A minimal contact record is kept for confirmation and removed within 37 days of deletion. This includes your account identifier, contact email if available, and deletion dates. Operational request logs can include your account identifier, the action you take, and related details, such as the sections, regulars, or saved items involved. Google Cloud retains these logs for up to 30 days after each request, including after account deletion. Other diagnostic data and any feedback or support messages you’ve sent are held by the services Sift uses and retained for their standard periods before being deleted.
